The Drye Build Club

A family iOS and Android coding group. Two kids, one dad, three blind judges, and $100,000 on the line. We do not watch screens at this house. We ship them.

01

The Club

Most coding clubs meet after school. This one meets at the dinner table. The Dryes learn to build real software the only way that sticks: by shipping actual apps, against an actual opponent, with actual stakes.

The opponent is Dad. The referee is a panel of three judges who score every build without knowing who made it. And the stakes climb with every win, all the way to $100,000. Nobody here is doing worksheets.

The detail machine. Will rebuild a screen five times until it feels right, then act like it was easy the whole time.

How a Round Works

  1. Agree the brief. One app idea, one definition of done, settled before anyone writes a line.
  2. Build. Kid and Dad each build the same app on the same clock. No peeking, no mercy.
  3. Blind judging. Three judges score both apps 0 to 10 across ten categories without knowing who built what.
  4. The reveal. Scores are averaged, the winner is unmasked, and the money board moves. App Store approval doubles the prize.

The $100K ChallengeLive

The club's own judging platform: briefs, blind scorecards, and the running money board. Built by Dad, used against Dad.
